The state of Arizona, in the southwestern United States, has numerous archaeological sites.   

The Arizona State Museum (image above) has an interesting exhibit but the experience of walking through the snow to visit sites like “Box Canyon” (image below) at Wupatki National Monument can not be matched...

…except maybe walking through the snow to visit Wu

Montezuma Castle National Monument (above) is one of several National Monuments created to protect the works of early people in Arizona.

The Painted Rock glyph site is small but has more than 800 glyphs (photo above).
