The tyranny of religion and the state mean that this is a country I will never visit.  Artifacts from Iran are found in various museums around the world, like those from the British Museum shown here.  

Describing the cultural nature of artifacts can be difficult because of a lack of precision in dating and the ebb and flow of culture and empire.
