Oaxaca
The state of Oaxaca is in southern Mexico just north of the state of Chiapas. Oaxaca City, its capital, has a wonderful Spanish-era “old town”. Several excellent museums are located in Oaxaca City and the ruins at Monte Alban are just outside of the city.
