I have only spent four days in Mexico City (Ciudad de México), as part of a six-day trip which included day trips to Teotihuacán in the state of Mexico and a day trip to Puebla - this in October 2019.
I visited several museums during my stay in the city and most of one day in the Museo Nacional de Antropología (MNA), seeing only a small portion of the material. The photo galleries which support this page reflect the amount of time spent at the museum. The National Museum of Anthropology photo gallery is dedicated solely to that museum while the Ciudad de México photo gallery has photographs of pre-contact material from the rest of the city. The Assorted Sites photo gallery includes photographs from a few of the other sites in the city.
Tlatelolco is one of the larger sites within Mexico City. It is located in Cuauhtémoc borough and centered on the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. Its archeological history date from just before European contact.
